Villagers afloat along the west bank of the middle Nile. We received smiles from almost everyone we encountered.

Within the Citadel walls, a slow-shutter image inside the Mohammed Ali Mosque...also known as the Alabaster Mosque. Mohammed Ali came to power in 1805 as a reformist ruler and is considered to be the founder of Modern Egypt.
